Born into a musical family at an early age: Dave “DJ” Schalton traveled for years as the lead ukulele player in an all-ukulele polka band.
While Dave's whereabouts during the later years of the 20th century are a bit hazy, once the polka was over, he was reportedly seen drifting throughout Eastern Europe playing both kazoo and guitar in various traveling circuses and carnivals.
It was only after Dave's rendition and subsequent repatriation to the United States that he became familiar with the popular American music of the day.
Performing in NYC as “DJ-Daddy” he has been acknowledged as the “daddy”
